Hurricane Irma

Updated September 20 at 4pm

We are happy to report that full power was restored over the weekend, and all systems are currently operational on our Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus.

The senior leadership team has returned to the offices, and the full staff will re-open our administrative and box offices on Monday, September 25th, as previously announced. We look forward to speaking with our patrons on the phone or at the box office regarding the revised on-sale schedule as well as availability of our exclusive access events.

A separate announcement will be made regarding the commencement of public cultural events.

Thank you very much,
Kathleen van Bergen
CEO and President

Although our community remains at various levels of clean-up and repair, we are beginning to see signs toward recovery. We appreciate everyone's thoughts from near and far, and we ask for your continued patience as we return to our mission as soon as is responsibly possible.

Although heroic efforts are restoring power to our community daily, Artis—Naples is currently operating only the essentials of our cultural campus through a generator. In light of our organization's situation, we will re-open our administrative offices on Monday, September 25.

We continue to be very excited about our cultural season, which will host engaging exhibitions in The Baker Museum, enriching education programs, and performances including the Vienna Philharmonic, Audra McDonald, Tim Allen and, of course, Andrey Boreyko and the Naples Philharmonic. Should you be in a position to plan your participation, our website is open for business. The box office will resume normal hours on Monday, September 25.

A separate announcement will be made regarding the commencement of public cultural events.

Thank you very much,
Kathleen van Bergen
CEO and President

Thanks to all of our friends and colleagues around the world for caring about the Artis—Naples family and our cultural campus. Your thoughts and well wishes are greatly appreciated.

The initial reports are, most importantly, that our colleagues are safe! We are all in the process of assessing our homes, neighborhoods and our cultural campus. Until power is fully restored, we are unable to complete a thorough assessment; however, initial information indicates that Irma was kind to us. I look forward to sharing more information once it is available.

We are grateful and will return to our mission as soon as is safely possible. Until then, please know that the Artis—Naples administrative and box offices remain closed and our cultural activities are cancelled until further notice.

Sincerely,
Kathleen van Bergen

We hope you and your loved ones are as prepared as possible for Hurricane Irma.

As a follow-up to Wednesday's closing announcement, we continue to monitor Irma's path and heed information from emergency officials. In order to prioritize safety in this truly uncertain situation, we have decided to close the cultural campus beyond Monday's previously announced closure. Post-storm and assessment, we will provide notice of the official re-opening of our administrative offices and box office. The commencement of public cultural activities will be announced separately.

My thoughts are with our Artis—Naples family and our entire community at this time. Please stay safe.

Thank you so much for your care and concern,

Kathleen van Bergen

We continue to monitor the path of the storm.  The box office and administration offices will be closed on Monday, September 11.

Like everyone in Southwest Florida, we are diligently monitoring the path of Hurricane Irma. As we make our arrangements, our priority is safety — of people, of art and of our cultural campus.

Although yesterday was the official opening of the 2017-18 season, we have decided to close The Baker Museum, cancel upcoming concerts and close the administrative and box offices. We realize this is a fluid situation, and we ask for your patience as we prepare for Irma. We will update our audiences as we know more.

Thank you for being a part of the Artis—Naples family. I wish your family safety and security during this uncertain time.

CEO and President
