2014-15 Season

The Snow Queen

with the Naples Philharmonic
One of Hans Christian Andersen’s most highly acclaimed fairy tales brought to life by your Naples Philharmonic.

     October 18, 2014

Peter and the Wolf

with the Naples Philharmonic
This musical story by Prokofiev uses personified instruments to tell the story of young Peter and his animal friends: the Duck (oboe), the Bird (flute) and a mischievous Cat (clarinet). Peter, represented by the string section, becomes an unsuspecting hero and outwits the Wolf (French horns) intent on menacing his small Russian village — not to mention Peter’s beloved animal friends. Fun for children and adults alike.
