Michael Feinstein, the multi-platinum-selling, two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy Award-nominated entertainer dubbed "The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook," is considered one of the premier interpreters of American standards. His many other credits include scoring the original music for the film Get Bruce and performing on the hit television series Caroline in the City, Melrose Place, Cybill and 7th Heaven.
Feinstein returns to Naples and — for the first time — conducts the Naples Philharmonic!
Michael Feinstein has built a dazzling career over the last three decades bringing the music of the Great American songbook to the world. From recordings that have earned him five Grammy nominations to his Emmy-nominated PBS specials, his acclaimed NPR series and concerts spanning the globe — in addition to his appearances at iconic venues such as the White House, Buckingham Palace, the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House — his work as an educator and archivist define Feinstein as one of the most important musical forces of our time.
Don’t try to put this skinny, white girl in a box because she will bust out every time. White breaks all musical boundaries with her wideranging career as a Grammy-winning recording artist, hit songwriter and producer, indie record label owner and actress of stage and screen.
She made her critically acclaimed Broadway debut in Ring Of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash and starred alongside Tom Hanks in the blockbuster movie Cast Away. As a recording artist, her music has earned three Grammys (The Apostle soundtrack and Amazing Grace 1 and 2: A Country Tribute) and RIAA Gold (Wishes/RCA Records). Her self-produced Green Eyed Soul was a London Times’ pick, followed by My First Affair (from her live show at the famed Oak Room in New York City) and Piano Bar.
Nick Ziobro, a dynamic new voice in the world of classic American standards, was the winner of the 2012 Great American Songbook High School Vocal Academy and Competition. The 18-year-old native of upstate New York spent a year serving as the Youth Ambassador of the Great American Songbook.
When he made his New York debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency onstage with Michael Feinstein and Marilyn Maye earlier this season, The New York Times praised him for “an easy swinging confidence and charm that suggested he could evolve into another Michael Bublé.” Ziobro earned a host of rave reviews around the country. He was hailed as “a budding young talent” by LA Weekly, called “a radiant presence” from Edge Los Angeles, “absolutely breathtaking” by the Carmel Current and “stunning” by the Napa Valley Register.
