Recognized as a truly exciting and versatile violinist, Leticia Moreno “captivates audiences and critics alike with her natural charisma, virtuosity and deep interpretative force”. In 2012, she was given Europe´s prestigious award the Echo Rising Star, afterwhich she played recitals in the grand concert halls across Europe.

She has appeared with such renowned conductors as Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Christoph Eschenbach, Yuri Temirkanov, Krzysztof Penderecki, Andrés Orozco Estrada, Josep Pons, Juanjo Mena and Andrey Boreyko, among others. Moreno has performed with orchestras such us Wiener Symphoniker, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Washington National, Mariinsky Orchestra, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestre Philharmonique de Montecarlo, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, Orquesta Simón Bolívar and is a regular guest with most of the major Spanish orchestras.

2015-16 saw Moreno tour China with Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen followed by a very successful Japanese recital tour. She made her debuts with Halle Orchestra, conducted by Sir Mark Elder, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Qatar Philharmonic and the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra.

As a keen recitalist and chamber musician, Moreno has collaborated alongside Sol Gabetta, Bertrand Chamayou, Kirill Gerstein, Alexander Ghindin, Lauma Skride, Mario Brunello, Leonard Elschenbroich and Maxim Rysanov.

Moreno recently recorded two CDs for Universal/Deutsche Grammophon: Spanish Landscapes, a study of Spanish music featuring Sarasate, Lorca, Granados, Falla and Shostakovich Violin Concerto No. 1 with St Petersburg Philharmonic, conducted by Yuri Temirkanov.

Moreno studied with Zakar Bron at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid and Musikhochschule Koeln, as the youngest member of the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung. 

Moreno won international violin competitions, including Szeryng, Concertino Praga, Novosibirsk, Sarasate and Kreisler.

Moreno plays a 1762 Nicola Gagliano.
