Selections from the Permanent Collection
As Artis—Naples celebrates its 25th anniversary, The Baker Museum has mounted a new exhibition, Prints: Selections from the Permanent Collection. Currently on view in the Hayes Hall Galleries, Prints provides an opportunity for The Baker Museum to share the variety of genres contained in its collection.
Prints includes two laid paper etchings by Rembrandt van Rijn, The Agony in the Garden (1663) and St. Jerome Kneeling in Prayer (1635). The exhibition also displays two 1938 prints by the father of abstract painting, Wassily Kandinsky.
Other featured artists include Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Robert Rauschenberg, Mary Cassatt, Fernand Léger, Alexander Calder, Yaacov Agam, Ben Shahn and many others.
