Elaine Newton's Critic's Choice
Artis—Naples Lifelong Learning

January 8 & 10: The Goldfinch by Donna Tart
The 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winner is a mesmerizing tale of survival and self-invention. Abandoned by his father and taken in by the family of a wealthy friend, a boy clings to the one thing that reminds him of his late mother: a mysterious painting that draws him into the underworld of art.

This lecture is part of Elaine Newton's Critic’s Choice series, featuring contemporary literature’s most compelling works.

Please note: The January 8 lecture will be held in the Daniels Pavilion. The January 10 lecture will be held in Hayes Hall.
