Joe Leonardo, Laura Carnell Professor Emeritus of Theater at Temple University
Betty Comden and Adolph Green wrote the book and/or lyrics for many Broadway shows, including On the Town, Bells Are Ringing, Peter Pan, Wonderful Town and On the Twentieth Century as well as screenplays for legendary Hollywood hits, such as Singin’ in the Rain, The Bandwagon, Auntie Mame and Good News. They collaborated with renowned composers Leonard Bernstein, Jule Styne and Cy Coleman to produce many popular songs, from Just in Time, The Party's Over and New York, New York to Some Other Time and One Hundred Easy Ways to Lose a Man.
