Gail Paster & Friends' Shakespeare in Film
Artis—Naples Lifelong Learning

Branagh, again working against Laurence Olivier’s great brooding film of Hamlet, makes a series of choices designed to give us a more extroverted prince in a lavish, full-color production. This lecture, based on a screening of Branagh’s film, will compare and contrast the two great actor-directors’ interpretations of Shakespeare’s tragedy.
