Docents

Artis—Naples Docent Program

The mission of The Baker Museum Docent Program is to enable visitors to discover, enjoy and learn about the collections, exhibitions and history of the museum. Through interactive tours, we seek to stimulate curiosity, meet the diverse needs of visitors and provide skills for lifelong learning. Docents provide museum tours for school groups, scout troops, private adult groups, public tours and more.

In addition to the initial three-month training period, there is ongoing training for docents, including special orientations of new exhibitions, exclusive workshops and lectures. Being a docent is an ideal way to express your love of the arts with your community.

Performing Arts Docent

Volunteers who have a clear speaking voice, are comfortable talking on a microphone to various sizes of audiences and are energetic and engaging when speaking to an audience (most audiences are students) are encouraged to become a performing arts docent. Training meetings are provided prior to each event.
