Noted by Detroit Free Press for his “sheer creative spark and spontaneity,” tenor saxophonist and composer Grant Stewart is among the most highly sought-after jazz musicians of today. The New York City-based musician has performed around the globe with internationally acclaimed artists, including Renée Fleming, Harry Connick Jr. and many others, and he has published 16 recordings as a leader. Joining the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra for its first performances of the 2023-24 season, Stewart and the ensemble perform a selection of jazz standards and even some of Stewart’s own compositions.
