Whether it be Oz, New York or Hollywood, the ambition to go to the big town was both a cinematic liberation and a cautionary danger. The City can be a dream come true or a noir nightmare. In On the Town, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Naked City and innumerable noirs, the Big City lures. Be careful what you wish for.

Rick Harris' productions for Harper Audio have earned 14 Grammy Award nominations and one Grammy Award. Harris was drama critic for WBAI-FM radio in New York City for 25 years.
