Paganini — Caprices
Schubert — Octet

Artis—Naples welcomes back violin virtuoso and longtime artistic friend James Ehnes for an afternoon of chamber works for violin with musicians of the Naples Philharmonic. Ehnes showcases his technical prowess from the beginning of the program as he navigates through some of the most challenging pieces in the violin repertoire: Paganini’s Caprices. Then, enjoy one of the most significant chamber works composed for a large ensemble as Ehnes and the musicians perform Schubert’s warm and energetic Octet. This spirited, uplifting work is classical entertainment at its best, brimming with dance tunes, toe-tapping rhythms and melodic surprises.

The Sypert Salon Series is generously sponsored by Drs. George Sypert and Joy Arpin.
