Goldberg Variations
Naples Philharmonic Sypert Salon Chamber Music

Musicians of the Naples Philharmonic

Paganini — Caprices
Bach, arr. Dudley — Chaconne for Piano Trio
Bach, arr. Frankenpohl —Selections from Goldberg Variations for Brass Quintet

In the final Sypert Salon chamber music performances of the 2023-24 season, musicians of the Naples Philharmonic present a program of works by Paganini and Bach. This program opens with a selection from Paganini’s 24 Caprices performed by Naples Philharmonic Concertmaster Zachary DePue. Rounding out the program are two unusual arrangements of well-known works by J.S. Bach: his Chaconne for Solo Violin arranged for Piano Trio and selections from Goldberg Variations for Brass Quintet, an arrangement of what continues to be regarded as one of the greatest musical achievements in all of Western music’s long history.

The Sypert Salon Series is generously sponsored by Drs. George Sypert and Joy Arpin.
