Acclaimed conductor Franz Welser-Möst returns to Artis—Naples, this time conducting the esteemed Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, captivating audiences with a set of two extraordinary performances in Hayes Hall. This first program promises a captivating musical journey, showcasing masterpieces by the likes of Hindemith, Strauss, Schoenberg and Ravel. Prepare to be enchanted by the orchestra’s impeccable artistry as they breathe life into each composition, weaving a tapestry of emotion and musical brilliance.

This captivating second evening performance revolves around Mahler’s monumental Ninth Symphony, a work revered as the composer’s crowning achievement. Prepare to be immersed in the depths of Mahler’s musical universe as the orchestra, with its signature energy and passion, unleashes the symphony’s raw power and energy, culminating in an awe-inspiring experience that is sure to resonate long after the final note fades away.

This concert is part of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra 2024 Residency at Artis—Naples.

Music and Museum
All Visiting Orchestras tickets include same-day admission to The Baker Museum. Museum hours on days of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performances: 10am-8pm. In addition, the doors to Hayes Hall will open 60 minutes prior to this performance. Arrive early to enjoy the exhibitions and light fare at Heidi's Place.
