Frank Lloyd Wright pioneered modern architecture in response to industrialization, new materials and changes in society. But most importantly, he introduced a language of organic architecture, bringing together the best of the West and the East in a way that can serve us to this day.

John Lobell

A professor at Pratt Institute, John Lobell studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. His interests include architecture, cultural theory, consciousness, Buddhism and the impact of technology on culture. Lobell lectures widely and is the author of several books, including Between Silence and Light: Spirit in the Architecture of Louis I. Kahn.
