David Taylor

David Taylor

David Taylor became the assistant concertmaster for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1979—more than 40 years ago. Prior to joining the CSO, Taylor was a first violinist with The Cleveland Orchestra. He is an avid chamber musician and has performed as a soloist with the CSO and other local orchestras on many occasions.

Taylor will conduct a chamber master class for students of the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, sharing insight into the instrument gained through a life of focused training and experience. This master class is open to the public, making it an excellent chance for violin fans to see an expert at work in an up-close-and-personal setting.
