Arndt Auhagen has won prizes at various competitions, including Jugend Musiziert, the Hausmann Musikwettbewerb and the Elise Meyer Stiftung competition, and has been a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra since September 2000. Together with three colleagues from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, he forms the Egmont Quartet.

Auhagenwill conduct a chamber music master class that is open to the public, during which he will share with the audience and musicians of the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra his principals of chamber performance — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for music aficionados of all ages.

Arndt Auhagen began studying the violin at the age of 6 with Erika Daams at the Clara Schumann Musikschule in his native city, Düsseldorf. He later took lessons with Alexi Burduli, a former student of David Oistrach.

Auhagen went on to study violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg with Mark Lubotsky. He also had lessons with Charles-André Linale, then first violinist of the Orpheus Quartet. He has taken part in master classes with Yfrah Neaman, Felix Andrievski, Liane Issakadze, Emile Cantor and members of the Amadeus and Borodin Quartets.

Auhagen has won prizes at various competitions, including Jugend Musiziert, the Hausmann Musikwettbewerb and the Elise Meyer Stiftung competition.

He joined the second violin section of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in September 2000.

Auhagen regularly gives solo and chamber performances with various ensembles. Together with three colleagues from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, he forms the Egmont Quartet.
