Miami Art Fairs
Art Miami, celebrating its 30th anniversary, is one of America’s preeminent modern and contemporary art fairs. It is globally recognized as a primary destination for the acquisition of the most important works from the 20th and 21st centuries. Join us for this one-day visit to also include Context Art Miami and lecture programs. On the bus to Miami, The Baker Museum docent and Friends of Artis—Naples board member Larry Sibrack will present a talk on the art fairs and the art market.

What’s New in St. Petersburg, Florida
This day trip will include an immersion into the new visual arts scene in St. Petersburg. We will visit three newly opened private museums: The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art and Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement designed by Alfonso Architects, followed by a gourmet lunch and then the Imagine Museum, dedicated to the contemporary glass movement. The latter will also feature visits to galleries and studios.

The Revs Institute: The Art, Design and Engineering of the Automobile
The Revs Institute features the art, engineering and history of some of the most iconic automobiles. We anticipate another sellout of this private tour which will include a film on the history of the Revs’ collection and a comprehensive, docent-led tour of one of the most extensive collections of automobiles in the world. We will enjoy lunch at a nearby country club with a featured speaker.

Luxury Show Home in Palm Beach
We will begin our one-day trip with a visit to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, a luxury residence that showcases a variety of unique, world-class interior designs from over 20 designers. We will enjoy a catered outdoor lunch at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens followed by a docent-led tour of the Norton’s exhibitions.

Costumes and the Decorative Arts in Boca Raton and Dania Beach
We will visit The Wick Theatre & Costume Museum, featuring the nation’s largest collection of Broadway costumes and wardrobes. After a luxury lunch, we will visit the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (WMODA) for a tour of their world-class collection of British and European ceramics, including examples from the Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras, as well as contemporary works produced by Ardmore Studios and others.

Our morning will begin with a docent-led tour of the world-renowned Lowe Art Museum’s newest wing, the Myrna and Sheldon Palley Pavilion for Contemporary Glass and Studio Arts, followed by a tour of the museum’s current and permanent collections. After a special lunch, we will enjoy a tour of the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, an iconic villa on Biscayne Bay designed after an 18th-century Italian villa.

Artis—Naples has recently joined the Museum Travel Alliance (MTA), which provides donors of participating museums with access to unique, high-end cultural travel programs. Friends of Artis—Naples and Leadership Circle members are eligible to take advantage of this benefit, joining travelers affiliated with other participating museums from across the country on MTA tours.
