Artis—Naples Award
2018 Naples International Film Festival
As part of NIFF’s Closing Night festivities, Steve Martin received the second annual Naples Film Festival Artis—Naples Award. As an actor, comedian, novelist, playwright and musician, Martin spectacularly embodies Artis—Naples’ multidisciplinary mission — enriching our community (and the world over) with his inspiring and entertaining work. It was a thrill for our team to present him with this award, and equally exciting to experience his work alongside another multitalented star, Martin Short, on Closing Night.
As an organization, Artis—Naples is unique in creating connections among art forms. And film is no exception. We support the work of artists in classical music, pops, Broadway, dance, painting, sculpture and film through the hundreds of performances, exhibitions and associated educational events on the Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus and beyond each year.
