Carnegie Hall

All Collier County 4th grade students have the opportunity to use Carnegie Hall’s Link Up curriculum during their weekly music classes. They learn about the historical context of composers and pieces of music, form in music, melody, harmony and time signature. Carnegie Hall offers four variations of Link Up: The Orchestra Sings, The Orchestra Moves, The Orchestra Rocks and The Orchestra Swings. The students practice various songs on the recorder, sing songs and learn various dances associated with the repertoire. An exciting culmination takes place in Hayes Hall when our 4th grade students perform with the Naples Philharmonic for the annual Link Up Concert!

The Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education program is based on the philosophy that teachers’ professional learning is an essential component of any effort designed to increase the artistic literacy of young people. Artis—Naples and Collier County Public Schools work together to provide professional learning in the arts for teachers in all subject areas. This national program is an example of how Artis—Naples and Collier County Public Schools work together to help enrich the lives of our students through visual and performing arts.
