See and hear nature translated into pigment and sound as the Naples Philharmonic joins forces with Naples Botanical Garden in this educational concert designed to help students interpret the organic world through the disciplined artistry of botanical color and classical music.

Penelope's Odyssey of the Orchestra is a newly commissioned work for chamber orchestra and narrator that gives audiences a deeper understanding of the orchestra’s four instrument families and how each contributes to the mood and narrative of the music.

Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet leaps off the page in this dramatic fusion of theater and music. Actors from Gulfshore Playhouse perform alongside the Naples Philharmonic, telling the story of feuding families and star-crossed lovers, set to music by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and Bernstein.

By any definition, music moves. In this engaging program, the Naples Philharmonic explores how sound travels through time and space, stirs emotion and even inspires physical movement, revealing the many ways the orchestra comes alive with music by Beethoven, Bizet and Strauss II.

Open to all public, private and homeschooled children as well as college music majors, these free open rehearsals allow students to experience how the conductor, soloists and the orchestra work together in preparing for an upcoming concert. Music students will be inspired and motivated with this exclusive inside look at the Naples Philharmonic’s journey from rehearsal to performances worthy of standing ovations.

Artis—Naples invites high school art students to attend free private art sessions and performing arts rehearsals that serve as inspiration for their works of art. In Sketching Sights and Sounds, students are welcome to sketch while engaging in a variety of sensory experiences. There is no fee to participate, and sketching materials are provided.

Organized by Artis—Naples, The Baker Museum, the 18th Annual Student Exhibition includes works by local public, private and homeschool students, grades ranging from pre-K through 12. A broad array of media, including painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, ceramics and photography, is represented in this showcase of outstanding artwork created by talented student artists. Artis—Naples is honored to support art education and the local teachers who have inspired and encouraged students throughout the growing and diversifying community.

Meet the Conductor
Collier County and Lee County Middle and High Schools
Artistic Leadership of the Naples Philharmonic
Open to all public and private middle and high school orchestras, this program brings Naples Philharmonic conductors to a rehearsal in the school. Students will experience playing under the baton of a professional conductor while the orchestra director observes and learns new techniques and rehearsal strategies. This guest conducting opportunity will enhance the overall musical growth of every Collier County and Lee County string musician as well as the music educators who serve as directors!

This free performance opportunity brings members of the Naples Philharmonic into schools in chamber ensembles such as a string quartet, woodwind quintet or brass quintet. Open to all elementary, middle and high schools, this program brings world class professional musicians to the classroom to inspire and educate students of all ages with extraordinary musicianship, discussion and Q&A.

Education Tours
of The Baker Museum
These special tours of The Baker Museum are led by trained docents and provide students unique insight into the art and artists featured in current museum exhibitions. Visits last approximately 90 minutes and include an art activity when desired.
