Visitor Policies

Photography & Sketching


Still photography for personal use is permitted unless otherwise noted. Photography may not be permitted in certain exhibitions due to copyright restrictions. Interchangeable-lens cameras, tripods, video and flash photography are not permitted. The use of “selfie sticks” is not permitted in The Baker Museum or the Hayes Hall galleries. 

Sketching in pencil is permitted in the galleries with sketchbooks no larger than 9 x 12 inches. No ink, pens, markers, chalk, easels, stools or sketching while sitting on the floor is permitted. While sketching, please do not hinder visitor traffic flow in the galleries.

During periods of high attendance, The Baker Museum reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments to this sketching policy.

Personal Effects


To ensure the safety of the collections and patron enjoyment, The Baker Museum does not permit backpacks of any size, shopping bags, duffel bags, large totes, suitcases, beach bags, laptops or umbrellas in the galleries. Purses and small clutch bags may not exceed 14 x 14 x 4 inches. We do not offer storage for prohibited or oversized bags so please plan accordingly.

The safety of all patrons, staff and artists is very important to us at Artis—Naples. Therefore, firearms or weapons of any kind are prohibited on the grounds of the cultural campus. All patrons will be screened at the point of entry, and all bags are subject to search upon entry.

Food and beverages are not permitted in the galleries.

Baby strollers are permitted at all times. However, oversized bags, food or drink accompanying strollers are not permitted.

Wheelchairs are available; please inquire at the information desk.

Please do not touch the artwork on display.
