Visitor Policies

Photography & Sketching


Still photography for personal use is permitted unless otherwise noted. Photography may not be permitted in certain exhibitions due to copyright restrictions. Interchangeable-lens cameras, tripods, video and flash photography are not permitted. 

Sketching in pencil is permitted in the galleries with sketchbooks no larger than 9 x 12 inches. No ink, pens, markers, chalk, easels, stools or sketching while sitting on the floor is permitted. While sketching, please do not hinder visitor traffic flow in the galleries.

During periods of high attendance, The Baker Museum reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments to this sketching policy.

Personal Effects


To ensure the safety of the collections and patron enjoyment, The Baker Museum does not permit backpacks of any size, shopping bags, duffel bags, large totes, laptops or umbrellas in the galleries.  

Food and beverages are not permitted in the galleries. For refreshments during your visit to Artis—Naples, Heidi’s Place is located in the Norris Garden, and there are three beverage bars located in the Hayes Hall lobby on the upper and lower levels, as well as a bar in the Daniels Pavilion. Friends of Artis—Naples and subscribers receive a 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Baby strollers are permitted at all times. However, oversized bags, food or drink accompanying strollers are not permitted.

Wheelchairs are available; please inquire at the information desk.

Please do not touch the artwork on display.
