Photography & Sketching
Still photography for personal, non-commerical use is permitted unless otherwise noted. Photography may not be permitted in certain exhibitions due to copyright restrictions. The use of tripods, monopods, flash photography or “selfie sticks” is not permitted in The Baker Museum or Hayes Hall galleries.
Sketching in pencil is permitted in the galleries with sketchbooks no larger than 9 x 12 inches. No ink, pens, markers, chalk, easels, stools or sketching while sitting on the floor is permitted. While sketching, please do not hinder visitor traffic flow in the galleries.
During periods of high attendance, The Baker Museum reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments to this sketching policy.
Personal Effects
To ensure the safety of the collections and patron enjoyment, bags may not exceed 14 x 14 x 4 inches. We do not offer storage for prohibited or oversized bags so please plan accordingly.
Exceptions can be made after a proper inspection for the following items:
- Diaper bags
- Medically necessary items
- Media equipment for media outlets accompanied and approved by Artis—Naples staff
- Support bags for working service animals
Firearms or weapons of any kind are prohibited. Such items prohibited on the Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus include, but are not limited to:
- Weapons of any kind including firearms, pocket/utility knives or cutting instruments
- Pepper spray, mace or other chemicals
- Alcohol, illegal substances or drug paraphernalia
- Professional-grade audio, photo or video recording equipment
- Food or beverage, unless purchased from Artis—Naples
Food and beverages are not permitted in the galleries.
Baby strollers are permitted at all times. However, oversized bags, food or drink accompanying strollers are not permitted.
We do not offer storage for prohibited items or oversized bags so please plan accordingly.
Wheelchairs are available; please inquire at the information desk.
Please do not touch the artwork on display.
