"I am so thankful to have a strong youth orchestra program in my community. The challenging repertoire I learn every season brings me to a new level of skill and appreciation for classical music."

Fall auditions for the 2020-21 Season are now closed. Please check back later for information about Spring auditions.

The NPYO accepts students between the ages of 12 and 19. Students who have graduated high school are encouraged to audition, however we give priority to current high school students. For additional information, please email YouthOrchestra@artisnaples.org.

The Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (NPYO) will celebrate its 20th season in 2020-21. This intensive program provides opportunities for accomplished middle school and high school student musicians to perform a wide-range of works under the baton of Radu Paponiu, associate conductor of the Naples Philharmonic. This fall, due to safety concerns related to COVID-19, the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra will focus on socially distanced chamber orchestra and chamber music.

Chamber Music Program

All members of the NPYO are further challenged to develop their musical abilities through the NPYO chamber music program. All NPYO chamber groups are coached weekly by Naples Philharmonic musicians. Chamber music placement is dependent on student interest and ensemble availability.
