Cook has been influenced by jazz vocal masters and instrumentalists alike — including Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery and The Crusaders — resulting in an improvisational style that comes directly from the swing tradition with her own fresh, eclectic spin. With her warm and flexible contralto, Cook’s impeccable vocals have garnered the admiration of audiences and music critics alike.
