Known for a highly individual approach in fusing jazz and classical with Brazilian and Latin folk and pop traditions, Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo has become a sought-after accompanist for a wide range of vocalists, including Grammy winner Dianne Reeves.

A gifted improviser with fluid finger-picking style rich in rhythmic invention, Lubambo is equally comfortable performing the sophisticated rhythms of Rio de Janeiro as he is at taking on hard bop. When he joins the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra, audiences will revel in the energy and steady stream of unpredictably creative musical thoughts nearly every time he plucks a string.

As a recording artist, he has nearly 25 albums to his name—one of which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2017—and many more as a sideman. He has performed with a diverse list of artists, including Diana Krall, Pat Metheny, Gato Barbieri, Billie Eilish, Angelique Kidjo, Wynton Marsalis, Vernon Reid, Flora Purim and Airto Moreira.
