All That Jazz
with the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra

Jerry Stawski, co-bandleader, vocals, piano

Sean Jones was a drummer until he heard Miles Davis on trumpet. At the age of 10, Jones switched instruments and never looked back. Citing Davis’ overall artistic vision and purity of sound as his greatest influence, and saxophonist John Coltrane with cementing his course as a composer, educator and activist, Jones has become a musical chameleon, equally comfortable playing on stage with big bands, a small group or in a classroom.

Jones has served as the lead trumpeter for Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, released eight critically acclaimed albums as a bandleader, spent two years as a member of the SFJAZZ Collective, shared stages with prominent jazz artists and was featured on Nancy Wilson’s Grammy Award-winning album Turned to Blue.

His program with the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra will feature works by jazz greats as well as original compositions.
