Critically acclaimed pianist Angel Stanislav Wang delivers a program that plumbs the depths of spirituality and introspection in the music of the Romantic era. Through works by Franz Liszt, moments of mysticism and transcendence unfold through imaginative, narrative-driven writing, while the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff brings a more introspective voice to the program. Together, these works highlight a balance of rhapsodic freedom and emotional heft, carried by Wang’s command of color and nuance.
