2023 Naples International Film Festival
The 2023 Naples International Film Festival Poster is based on the art of Mernet Larsen.
Artis—Naples celebrates its multidisciplinary mission by featuring the work of a living visual artist on the official poster for the Naples International Film Festival. NIFF celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2023, and this year’s poster features artwork by Tampa-based artist Mernet Larsen.
The 2017 painting Raft exhibits Larsen’s signature narrative style, depicting hard-edged, enigmatic characters that inhabit uncanny worlds filled with tension and wry humor. She employs spatial systems that contradict our experiences of reality, rendering everyday scenarios as playful yet vertigo-inducing versions of the familiar world.
