Investigative reporter George moves to New York and needs a roommate. Knowing no one else in the city except her childhood best friend Trish, George agrees to move in with Trish’s city bestie, Avery, an aspiring actress and full-time mess. After a clash of personalities and a series of mishaps, the two women quickly end up at each other’s throats — and competing for Trish’s friendship — until Trish mysteriously vanishes.

Forced to put aside their differences, George and Avery team up to track her down, only to discover that Trish’s disappearance is just the first of many secrets. Jackrabbit marks the feature-length directorial debut of Emmy and Peabody Award-winning writer-director Ballard C. Boyd, a former producer of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and director of the short film Night Session, an official selection at the 2024 Naples International Film Festival.
