Unspoken Bond makes the case for one of our most often overlooked relationships: the bond between humans and animals. Not a substitute for human connection, but a profound one in its own right, capable of offering acceptance, healing and joy that nothing else can replicate. The film builds that case through three intimate stories of loss, hope and reconnection: an international dressage rider based in Florida who must navigate devastating grief after losing her prized horse to a catastrophic injury; a woman struggling with addiction whose healing begins with the introduction of a fox at an animal sanctuary; and a soldier who returned home from fighting in Iraq only to face a battle with PTSD, depression and loneliness until his service dog Woodrow puts him on a path toward healing.
