Future—Forward

Embracing Artistic and Community Initiatives

Expanded offerings
An overture to the future

The Naples International Film Festival, held annually every October, was acquired in 2017 and is presented by Artis—Naples to further expand our exploration of film as an art form through screenings and celebrations on the Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus in addition to our partner venue, Silverspot Cinema.

Our enduring and deepening education partnerships with Collier and Lee County Public Schools, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center typically provide 45,000 students access to the arts each year. These offerings, many of which are offered free or with subsidized fees, include four youth ensembles, master classes, the Student Photography Institute, summer camps, Community Days, schooltime education concerts and much more.

Gifts received toward pillar: $10.9 million of the $95+ million committed to the Future—Forward Campaign

While we are proud of our history, Artis—Naples is constantly seeking to expand both what we create and present, along with the audiences who experience our offerings. The Future—Forward campaign provided the operational resources necessary to do just that. In short, investment in artistic initiatives is the core of our pursuits, permitting Artis—Naples the space to explore artistic ideas and engaging education programs, as well as the flexibility to meet new multidisciplinary arts opportunities as they present themselves. From offering free Community Days and free admission to The Baker Museum for children and visitors during Art After Hours to performing chamber music concerts in schools and around our community, we are always exploring exciting new areas and broadening our reach in others.

We gradually expanded our artistic offerings so that, as of summer 2023, the cultural campus is open for visitors year-round. This includes continued access to The Baker Museum and its stunning exhibitions, performances in Daniels Pavilion, as well as opportunities to visit with free admission during our monthly Art After Hours events.

The generous support for artistic and community initiatives has provided an essential base of funding to explore new ideas to serve the community, such as commissioning new music and creating new multidisciplinary projects that explore themes across art forms. Artistic support allows for nimble and agile operations while upholding artistic excellence and expanding opportunities for more people in our community to take part in our programming.
