Bob Mintzer — renowned saxophonist, composer and member of the Grammy Award-winning jazz fusion group The Yellowjackets — brings his signature sound to Daniels Pavilion, joining the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra for a wide-ranging and rhythmically compelling performance. Mintzer’s melodic approach and soulful phrasing have made him a favorite among jazz fans, with a career spanning dozens of recordings as a bandleader, soloist and arranger. A former saxophonist for the Buddy Rich Big Band, Mintzer also leads his own celebrated big band, which won a Grammy for its Homage to Count Basie. Expect rich grooves, inventive solos and genre-spanning flair.
