Cynthia Scott, vocalist
Luciano Morello, founding producer
Lew Del Gatto, artistic director, tenor saxophone
James Suggs, trumpet
Mike Harvey, drums
Kevin Mauldin, bass
Jerry Stawski, co-bandleader, vocals, piano

For more than five decades, Cynthia Scott has brought her soulful alto voice and expressive range to the world’s great stages, from backing Ray Charles as one of the Raelettes to touring with Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass. A finalist in the 1998 Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition and a favorite of Wynton Marsalis, Scott was the first voice heard in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater. With quiet intensity and stylish phrasing, she commands each lyric she sings. In this program, she joins the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra for an unforgettable afternoon of beloved jazz standards and heartfelt interpretations.
