Grand Piano Series presents Benjamin Grosvenor

Benjamin Grosvenor, piano

Beethoven — Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp Minor, Op.27, No. 2, “Moonlight”
Schumann — Fantasy in C Major, Op. 17
Scriabin — Piano Sonata No. 2 in G-sharp Minor, Op. 19, “Sonata-Fantasie”
Ravel — Gaspard de la nuit

Praised for his expressiveness and sparkling technique, Benjamin Grosvenor presents a program of landmark piano masterpieces. He opens with Beethoven’s evocative “Moonlight” Sonata, then unveils Schumann’s richly imaginative Fantasy in C Major. Scriabin’s dramatic Sonata-Fantasie follows, and the evening concludes with Ravel’s virtuosic Gaspard de la nuit — one of the most challenging works in the repertoire.

This presentation is part of the Grand Piano Series.
