Evren Ozel opens a world of keyboard artistry in Daniels Pavilion with a program that traverses eras and styles. Beginning with three of Scarlatti’s lively sonatas, he then explores the intimate depths of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 30 in E Major. Next, Bartók’s atmospheric Out of Doors and Fauré’s delicate Nocturne bring color and lyricism before Schumann’s Carnaval sweeps the audience into a whirlwind of character pieces and vivid musical portraits.

Evren Ozel
Evren Ozel
American pianist Evren Ozel has established himself as a musician of “refined restraint” (Third Coast Review), combining fluent virtuosity with probing, thoughtful interpretations. Having performed extensively in the United States and abroad, Ozel is the recipient of a 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant, 2022 Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant and is currently represented by Concert Artists Guild as an Ambassador Prize Winner of their 2021 Victor Elmaleh Competition.
Since his debut with the Minnesota Orchestra at 11, Ozel has been a featured soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, and The Orchestra Now at Bard College. In March of 2025, he released his first album of Mozart Concertos with the ORF Radio Symphony of Vienna and conductor Howard Griffiths. His 2024-25 season highlights included solo recitals for La Jolla Music Society, Capital Region Classical and Cal Performances. Previously, he has performed recitals for Harvard Musical Association, Schubert Club, Chopin Society of Minnesota and The Gilmore.
An esteemed chamber musician, Ozel often performs alongside artists like David Finckel and Wu Han, Stella Chen, Zlatomir Fung, Paul Huang and Peter Wiley. Ozel resides in Boston, where he is currently a candidate in New England Conservatory’s prestigious and highly exclusive Artist Diploma

Grand Piano Series is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), tax-exempt and financially self-supporting organization. Founded in 2016 by Milana Strezeva and Raniero Tazzi, Grand Piano Series is a nonprofit concert and education organization that seeks to enrich the cultural life of the Southwest Florida community with memorable concerts by international artists of the highest caliber, along with a dynamic program of community outreach for all ages, including programs for over 10,000 students each year in Collier and Lee counties.
