Evren Ozel, piano

Scarlatti — Sonata in G Major, K. 427
Scarlatti — Sonata in C Minor, K. 11
Scarlatti — Sonata in C Major, K. 159

Fauré — Nocturne in E-flat Major, Op. 36

Evren Ozel opens a world of keyboard artistry in Daniels Pavilion with a program that traverses eras and styles. Beginning with three of Scarlatti’s lively sonatas, he then explores the intimate depths of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 30 in E Major. Next, Bartók’s atmospheric Out of Doors and Fauré’s delicate Nocturne bring color and lyricism before Schumann’s Carnaval sweeps the audience into a whirlwind of character pieces and vivid musical portraits.

This presentation is part of the Grand Piano Series.
