Join the artists featured in Florida Contemporary 2025-26 for a lively panel discussion celebrating the state’s vibrant art scene. This annual exhibition showcases a select group of notable visual artists practicing in Florida, highlighting the diverse approaches to personal, local and global themes. The 13th edition of the exhibition features Mally Khorasantchi, Boy Kong, Jillian Mayer and Reginald O’Neal. These dynamic artists embody the creative energy and intellectual vigor that define Florida’s visual art landscape.

This presentation is part of the exhibition Florida Contemporary 2025-26.

All museum lectures and public programs of The Baker Museum include same-day admission to The Baker Museum.

Mally Khorasantchi

Mally Khorasantchi


Mally Khorasantchi (b.1948) was born in Germany and has lived and worked in Southwest Florida since 1992. Her colorful, large-scale collage-based paintings reflect on the dichotomies found in humankind and in nature: beauty and discord, reality and falsehood, or representational and abstract.

Boy Kong

Boy Kong


Boy Kong (b.1993) is a self-taught painter, illustrator, muralist and collage artist whose work is inspired by a mixture of Ukiyo-e, surrealism, graffiti art and animal folklore. A native of Orlando, Kong divides his time between Orlando and New York.

Jillian Mayer

Jillian Mayer


Jillian Mayer (b.1984)is a visual artist from Miami whose varied practice includes film, performance, sculpture, drawing and installation, with many of her works focused on concerns around the ubiquity of technology in contemporary life.

Reginald O’Neal

Reginald O’Neal


Reginald O’Neal (b.1992) is a Miami-based artist who is active as both a muralist and an easel painter. His richly painted canvases expand the art historical traditions of portraiture with work that is simultaneously sentimental and sinister.
