with Ferdinand Hampson

Ferdinand Hampson, studio glass historian and founder of Habatat Galleries

In celebration of the exhibition The Passion of Collecting: Stories in Glass and Ceramics from the Sibrack Collection, this talk will cover the short history of studio glass, including the movement’s early struggles for acceptance. It will feature images of the world’s great glass centers, which include the United States, Italy, the Czech Republic, Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, Hungary and Sweden. The talk will then cover individual works in the Sibrack collection, including personal stories and anecdotes about the works and the artists.

This presentation is part of the exhibition The Passion of Collecting: Stories in Glass and Ceramics from the Sibrack Collection.

All museum lectures and public programs of The Baker Museum include same-day admission to The Baker Museum.
