In the span of a few short years, Angel Stanislav Wang has emerged as a pianist of remarkable global distinction. At 23, he has already earned more than 35 international awards, including first prize at the International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition and recognition as the youngest finalist in the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Wang joins musicians of the Naples Philharmonic for a program that traces three decades of Viennese chamber music, from Beethoven’s boisterous, improvisatory energy to the refined, conversational style of Dittersdorf and Mozart.
Angel Stanislav Wang’s appearance is in collaboration with Grand Piano Series, an independent nonprofit organization.

Praised for his expressive depth, commanding technique and artistic individuality, Angel Stanislav Wang has quickly drawn international attention as a rare and compelling new voice. His major accolades include the silver medal at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition, becoming the youngest finalist at the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and winning first prize at the International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition. At just 23, he has already earned over 35 international awards.
A captivating performer with a growing global following, Wang has performed at world-renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, among others. Recently, he performed the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Russian National Orchestra for its 35th Anniversary concert in Moscow, the Britten Piano Concerto with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Sebastian Weigle and Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with Robert Spano and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
The 2026-27 season includes a recital tour of the United States, with stops at Artis—Naples, Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, the Aspen Music Festival, Performing Arts Houston, The Soraya at California State University Northridge and the American Liszt Society Festival at the Lied Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Founded in 1982, the Naples Philharmonic normally performs over 140 orchestral and chamber concerts, as well as opera and ballet, education, community and special event concerts from September through June each year.
