Although the September auditions for new members of the Naples Philharmonic Chorus have already occurred, additional auditions will take place later this fall.

The audition process will last approximately 10 minutes and will consist of three assessments focusing on range, vocal technique and sight-reading ability. Auditionees will be led through the audition and will not need to prepare any music to sing.

Mendelssohn
Midsummer Night’s Dream
Women’s Chorus
Auditions

Artistic and Music Director Alexander Shelley and the Naples Philharmonic will be performing Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream with a guest actor and a small, professional women's chorus of 8-10 voices in Hayes Hall on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 at 7:30pm. We are having open auditions for soprano and alto singers for this Mendelssohn chorus. This audition is open to soprano and alto voices who are members of the Naples Philharmonic Chorus as well as vocalists from the community who are not currently members of the Naples Philharmonic Chorus.

Auditions will occur on Tuesday, October 15 from 4:45pm until 6:45pm and Tuesday, October 22 from 4:45pm until 6:45pm. If you are interested in auditioning please fill out the form above and a representive from Artis—Naples will be in touch about setting up an audition time.

Full orchestra rehearsals for these performances will be Tuesday, December 10 from 6-9pm and Thursday, December 12 from 7-9:30pm. There will also be a piano-vocal rehearsal with Alexander Shelley on Monday, December 9 from 7-9pm. In addition, there will be two piano-vocal pre-rehearsals on November 4 from 7:45-9:30pm and November 26 from 8-9:30pm with Naples Philharmonic Chorus director Jeremy T. Warner. Participation in all of these rehearsals will be required to perform with the Naples Philharmonic.

Any vocalists invited to join the chorus will be paid a $100 fee for each rehearsal or performance.

The Naples Philharmonic Chorus performs in both pops and classical concerts each season with the Naples Philharmonic, including the orchestra’s popular Holiday Pops and Patriotic Pops programs.

Founded in 1991, this volunteer group is made up of adult singers of all ages and backgrounds. Each chorus member devotes an average of 200 volunteer hours to rehearsals and concert performances between September and May. The chorus normally rehearses on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm and is directed by Jeremy T. Warner.
